Provides a small secondary stamina bar which acts as a buffer to keep Maximum Might active. Depending on matchup and playstyle, it might take you from ~70% MM uptime to ~94%. You can think of that as roughly +7% average affinity. Obviously, the greater your normal MM uptime, the less benefit Second Wind provides.

Recommended For

Comfort. Matchups where you roll a lot, or where other set bonuses would be tough to activate. Multiplayer.

Not Good For

Matchups where you already find it easy to maintain very high Max Might uptime.

This variant gives up Convert Element but gains Earplugs 2. Good deal against monsters with obnoxious roars, or monsters which don’t have elemental attacks to proc Convert Element with.
